BEVERAGE PLANTS: COCA-COLA (page 3)

7-Up Bottling Plant
Bakersfield, CA

This 7-Up Bottling Plant was built around 1939 as a Coca-Cola plant. I'm not sure when it switched to 7-Up but it appears to still be in operation. There are other old 7-Up signs similar to this in Fresno, CA and Madera, CA.

The Chicago Coca-Cola Building pre-dates Art Deco but I'll include it anyway. This office building and bottling plant has been converted to condos and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Coca-Cola Building
Portland, OR
The Portland Coca-Cola Building was designed by Jesse M. Shelton and built in 1941. It is still an active bottling plant. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. [photos thanks Susan Boyle]

Vancouver, WA
The Vancouver Coca-Cola Building is now occupied by another company and no longer used for bottling. [photos thanks Susan Boyle]

Coca-Cola Building
Santa Maria, CA

The Santa Maria Coca-Cola Building was built in 1938 and closed in 1976. It now houses the Community Cornerstone Center for Non-Profits. For more, see this website.

Coca-Cola Building
Dallas, TX
This Dallas Coca-Cola Building has me confused. I know there was a bottling plant built on Lemmon in 1963. However, I'm not sure if this is the same building. The large neon sign might be older than that. This Streamline Moderne style feature looks like a contemporary creation. Does anyone know the history of this building and/or sign?
