28 Bar & Grill (was to be June's Diner)
was Granby, CT
The 28 Bar & Grill is a Sterling (#406) Streamliner from 1940. The 28 was originally known as the "Hesperus Diner" (still visible on the diner's side when this photo taken) and installed in Gloucester, NH. It was moved to North Salem, NH in the late 1980s and renamed "Ralph's Diner". Later, it became the 28, named after Route 28 where it was located (photo above). The 28 closed in 2003. In July 2005, it was sold and moved to Granby, CT with plans to reopen it as "June's Diner". As of 2006, the diner was still on private property awaiting restoration. However, as of 2007, it seems this diner is now missing. Does anyone know where it went? For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3.

Mickey's Windham Diner
Willimantic, CT
Mickey's Windham Diner is a Mountain View (#281) from 1950. The diner operated here until 1971. It was then moved and operated in Southington, CT. In the 1980s, it operated at two different locations in Waterbury, CT. It returned to Willimantic and reopened in 2005 using the original name.
