Shawmut Diner
New Bedford, MA
The Shawmut Diner is an O'Mahony from 1953. The name "Shawmut" is derived from a Native American word for this region. This diner is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For more, see this website.

Agawam Diner
Rowley, MA
The Agawam Diner is a Fodero from 1957. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

Al Mac's Diner
Fall River, MA
Al Mac's Diner is a DeRaffele diner from 1953. The neon signage appears to be from that time. There was another diner here before this one, hence the signage "justly famous since 1910." Al Mac's Diner is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was nearly demolished in the 1980s. The diner closed in 2012 but should reopen in 2013. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

Mill Pond Diner
Wareham, MA
The Mill Pond Diner is a 1950 O'Mahony. It was previously known as Earnshaw's Diner and located in Fall River, MA.

Nite Owl Diner [closed]
Fall River, MA
<
The Nite Owl Diner, last known as "C.C.'s Nite Owl Diner", is a custom-built DeRaffle from 1956. It looks a little smaller than their typical diner to me. The diner closed in 2002 and it was still vacant in 2009. The first photo above from the 1950s shows the original diner that was at this site with the same sign that is there today.

Corner Lunch
Worcester, MA
The Corner Lunch is a DeRaffelle from the mid-1950s. It was originally located in Babylon, NY. In 1967, the diner was updated by Musi who lopped off about one third of the structure and put it in back for a kitchen. The diner was installed in Worcester in 1968. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Al's Diner
Chicopee, MA
Al's Diner is a Master diner from the late 1950s (conflicting sources say 1957, 1958 and 1959). It features classic stainless steel construction, a formica interior and this great sign. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Fillin' Station Diner
Whately, MA
The Fillin' Station Diner is a Kullman Princess from 1960. It was previously located in Chicopee, MA. It is open 24 hours and owned by the F.L. Roberts truck stop chain. The diner has great outward-slanting picture windows and sunburst-patterned stainless steel. For more, see this website.
