| The Denny's Restaurant chain originated as Danny's Donuts in 1953 in Lakewood, CA. The name was changed to Denny's in 1959. Their 1960s boomerang-roof buildings were designed by Armet & Davis. The hexagonal shaped sign style is still in use today although the neon has been replaced with plastic. The chain now has over 2,500 locations worldwide. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. |

| This former Denny's now houses Bubba's Southern Bar-B-Q. The original roofline is partially concealed. The sign still has the sign pole sleeve with holes and the light bulb ball on top. I don't know of any locations, still open or repurposed, that have the ball. There was another one in Las Vegas, NV. |
