| This former Silver Spring location was built around 1935 and restored in 1981. Soon afterwards, there was a fire and the building was restored again. The signage was reproduced from drawings. This location closed for good in the 1992. The building was put for sale on eBay but never found a buyer. It was taken apart in 2003. The steel panels were saved with plans to reassemble the building at the National Capital Trolley Museum in Colesville, MD. However, I haven't heard anything about that happening. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, 3, and 4. |
