Mac's Drive-in Restaurant
Waterloo, NY
Mac's Drive-in was built in 1961. It was originally closer to downtown Waterloo. The main building was moved here in 1967. Mac's still has its original Richardson Root Beer sign. It is best known for its burgers, fried chicken, fresh cut fries and floats. There are two carhop "runs" with enough room for 64 cars at a time. The main building has glass panel sides that can be removed in good weather. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

The Richardson Corporation was incorporated around 1915. In 1921, the Company built a pagoda-shaped root beer stand at Seabreeze Amusement Park in Rochester, NY. I don't know how many other stands were built or where, but I believe there are only two other locations left (see below). For more, see this website.

White Turkey Drive-in
Conneaut, OH
The White Turkey Drive-in opened in 1952 and still features Richardson's root beer and turkey sandwiches. The stand was named after the White Holland Turkeys which were raised by the owners. The White Turkey is now run by the original owner's son and his wife. For more, see their website.

Hamburger Heaven
Elmhurst, IL
Hamburger Heaven opened in 1948. They still make Richardson Root Beer in oak barrels. For more, see this website.

Mug n' Bun
Indianapolis, IN
The Mug n' Bun started out as a Frostop drive-in in 1942 and was remodeled and renamed as the Mug n' Bun in 1961. This drive-in still features car hops. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3.

Minuteman Drive-In
Elkhart, IN
Mason's Root Beer Drive-in
Washington, IN
The Minuteman Drive-In was closed when this photo was taken in 2009. Miranda's Restaurant has since moved into the building and I'm not sure how long this rooftop sign will be around.

Mason's Root Beer Drive-in opened here in 1951. They still have car hops and produce their own root beer on-site. For more, see this website.

Woody's Drive-in
Fremont, OH
Woody's Drive-in looks like it's been here a long time. The stand features car hops and root beer. For more, see this website.

Gene's Root Beer Stand
Anderson, IN
Gene's Root Beer Stand has always been Gene's and opened in 1966. For more, see this website.
