The Weber's Root Beer chain was founded in Tulsa in 1933. They expanded to 67 locations with most confined to the Midwest. However, as far as I know, the only ones left are the one in Tulsa and three locations in NJ. The NJ are all independently operated now. The NJ stands also feature car hops and root beer in take-out gallon containers. For more, see this website.

Weber's Root Beer Brooklawn, NJ |

The Brooklawn location opened in the early 1950s, making it the oldest of the NJ survivors. This stand features a rooftop ball sign with flashing lights. Sputnik, the Russian satellite, was launched in 1957 and may have been the inspiration for these signs. This stand has a spinning ball sign like the one in Pennsauken described below. This location also features a mini golf course which was built when the place opened. In 2004 when the photos in the top row were taken, there was a pile of orange and white corrugated steel metal behind the building. I assume that at least part of the canopy was replaced or removed at that time. It was pouring rain during my 2010 visit (bottom row of photos). Hopefully, I'll get back there soon for some better shots. When I was there in 2012, the stand was either closed for the season or closed for good.
