Giant Peanut
Ashburn, GA

The Giant Peanut was erected in 1975. It is 10' tall and mounted on a 15' tall brick column. The crown proclaims "1st in Peanuts". Peanuts are Georgia's main crop and Ashburn is home to the world's largest peanut processing plant. The peanut is lit at night and is right next to I-75. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

Peanut Monument
Blakely, GA

Dothan is considered the peanut capital of the world and hosts the annual National Peanut Festival. There are two Gold Peanuts in town. The Golden Peanut was installed next to the Dothan Visitors Center in 1993. It was created by local artists (L. and Ronald Godwin) who also created the Giant Rooster in Brundidge, AL. There are also more than 60 4' tall brightly painted peanut statues scattered around Dothan. They were installed in about 2001 as the "Peanuts Around Town" art project. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

Blakely's Peanut Monument is 8' tall and carved from stone. It was installed in 1954 in front of the Early County Courthouse.

The Pearsall Peanut monument was created in 1973.

The Floresville Peanut is about 6' tall and was created in 1970. It is installed in front of the Wilson County Courthouse. For more, see this website.

The Jimmy Carter Peanut is 13' tall and was constructed in 1976. The smiling peanut was produced in Indiana for President Carter's presidential campaign visit to Evanston, IN. After the visit, it was brought to Plains, GA (Carter's birthplace and home). It is installed in front of the Davis E-Z Shop, a gas station/convenience store. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

Great American Peanut Tour
Tifton, GA

This 32' long peanut was built for the Great American Peanut Tour. The interactive educational exhibit is mounted on a trailer. It was built in 2006 by the National Peanut Board. When it's not traveling, it's stationed at the Agrirama, an agricultural museum which focuses on peanuts, the main local crop. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3.

Giant Pecan

The Giant Pecan is 12' long and 7' in diameter - apparently the world's largest. It was created from concrete in 1982 and stands in front of James Pcean Farms Nut Hut. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

Seguin, TX

The Giant Pecan was installed in 1962. It measures about 5' long by 2' tall and is the world's second largest after the Brunswick Pecan described above. The Giant Mobile Pecan is 10' long, 5' tall and was built in 2002. It stands in front of the Pape Pecan House. It boasts of being the world's largest mobile pecan.
