former Standard Oil station Kissimmee, FL |
 |
This former Standard Oil station, aka the Key's gas station, was built in 1926. In 1998, the City bought the building with plans to demolish it for road widening. When plans changed, the demolition was unnecessary and the building was restored. Since 2005, it has housed a welcome center and Breck's Gourmet Cookies. For more, see this website.

This former station appeared to be abandoned in 2009. This was probably a Standard station since the design seems identical to the one in Kissimmee shown above.

former station Plant City, FL |

 |
The former Leesburg station was built in 1925. The service bay was probably a later addition. This was known as the Triangle Filling Station.
The former Plant City station was probably also built in the 1920s. The design is so similar to the one in Leesburg that these stations might have sold the same brand. This building was most recently used as a produce stand. It appeared to be closed in 2001 when this photo was taken. There is an old Red Crown glass pump around the side of the building.
