Charlie's Garage was originally a Ford-Lincoln showroom. Somewhere along the line, it became a gas station and repair shop. The station was still pumping gas in 2004. However, the business was closed and the building for sale when these photos were taken in 2011.

This Perley Burrill Fuel Oil station claims to be "America's oldest filling station". I assume they mean the oldest station still in operation but I don't know if this claim is true. Does anyone know when this station was built?

This former Jenney station was built in 1920. The building now houses Paul's Precision Auto Repair.

This former station originally sold fuel and range oil. The owners added a gas pump in the 1920s. In the 1950s and 1960s, the station was known as Frank Gogan's Mobil. Sometime after that, it became a CITGO. At some point between 2002 and 2004 when the first two photos were taken, it had become a Shell station. By 2011 when the third photo was taken, the building was vacant and the pumps had been removed.

This former station in Lynn is or was last used by Walsh's Garage. I'm not sure if this repair shop is still open.

Tony's Gasoline is officially known as Tony's Auto & Cycle Center. The building has apparently been through a number of remodelings and additions. A worker there said the station had originally been a blacksmith's shop.

This Brookline station was built in the 1930s. The pumps were still there when the first photo above was taken in 2004. In 2007, the station was restored and converted into a B. Good restaurant. For more, see this website.

The A.C. Smith station was built in 1926. It has been Abdon's Auto Repair since 1977. The business no longer sells gas. Behind the wreath is a bas-relief winged wheel.
