This Whitehouse Gulf sign stands next to a still-operating Gulf station. As of 2009, this sign appears to have been recently refurbished. It is lit at night. For more, see this website.
This Parsippany Gulf station is still open. A modern canopy is installed in front of this office. The neon on this sign looks like it still might be operable. |

| This former Calso station now houses Teaneck Ignition and still sells gas. The station was built around 1947. In 1958, all Calso stations became Chevron stations. In recent years, this building was painted brown and operated as a Gulf station. Around 1999, the paint was restored to the original porcelain enamel panels. These stations bear a strong resemblance to Mobil "drum" stations. They appear to be a regional design as I have not seen them anywhere else in the country. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. |

This former Calso station in Ridgewood was vacant when this photo was taken in 2011. It was previously used by the Fairway Dodge dealership. There are plans to convert this building into a restaurant, with significant alterations. For more, see this website.

Kern's Sunoco opened in the 1950s. The station no longer sells gas but still offers repairs. When this photo was taken in 2003, workers were replacing the office's front window which had been broken by a truck.
This former station in Wayne used as a repair shop now. This might be a modified Exxon or Shell station. |
