The Atlanta Man is a classic Bunyan with knit cap and tire.
The Powder Springs Indian stands behind the stadium bleachers at McEachern High which is home to the McEachern Indians. In 1966, this statue was installed at the Taber Pontiac dealership in Atlanta's Buckhead section. In 1973, he was moved here. |

The Leesburg Muffler Man stands in front of SJC Construction holding some sort of tool. Is that used for paving? And what about that bullet-shaped object beneath him - what is that? This guy looks like he was recently painted. Does anyone know his history? As of 2009, he was for sale. For more, see this website.
The Washington Muffler Man stands in front of what-was Jones Brake & Muffler. The building has been vacant since the owner's wife won the Mega Millions lottery in 2005. This Muffler Man has been here since 1997. Does anyone know where he was before that? The statue was repainted after these photos from 2009. For more, see this website. |
