This Indian Muffler Man originally stood in front of a liquor store in Texas. At that time, his right hand held a bottle. In the 1960s, the Howe dealership bought the statue and reconstructed his hand position into a salute. The statue was originally installed at the dealership's El Reno, OK location. It was moved a few times with the dealership (two locations in El Reno, three locations in Clinton). The statue's nickname was "Mr. Howe". By 2010, the statue had been repainted and moved to Indian Trading Post & Art in Calumet.

Muffler Man Wynnewood, OK

This Muffler Man is located at Steppin' Out Western Wear. Just a few months after these photos were taken in 2011, the statue was knocked over and broken apart. The store is having it restored. For more, see this website.

Muffler Man Muskogee, OK

This Muffler Man is located at Cagle Salvage & Auto Crusher. He has been here, holding this pole, since at least 2000.
