| There are four fiberglass statues at Glenn Goode's Sandblasting & Rental: a Cowboy Muffler Man, two Big Johns and a Miss Uniroyal. The cowboy's head was made from a mold of a now-gone Muffler Man in Canton, TX and his hands were molded from the Ken's Muffler Man in Dallas (see above). Goode bought the Miss Uniroyal in 1984 from a car dealership in Wichita Falls, TX. She wore a red bikini at that time but Goode altered it into a skirt and blouse. The cowboy came from a go-kart track in Garland, TX. Both of the Big Johns were from bowling alleys (although originally, they were at Big John grocery stores). Goode has several Muffler Man molds in his shop. For more Big Johns, see this page. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. |
