Joe Wiser, a carpenter and disabled veteran, collected some 600,000 bottle caps in the 1930s. He washed and varnished them, then nailed them to nearly everything in his bar and restaurant (including the piano) creating the Bottle Cap Inn in Miami, FL. It appeared in Ripley's "Believe it or Not" and claimed to be decorated with more than a million bottle caps (one postcard boasted more than 4 million). Joe’s advertising slogan was used until the end: "Wine, Dine and Dance". The place was closed and dismantled in the early 1990s.
Some postcards identify the place as Ruth's Bottle Cap Inn so it must've changed hands at some point. Later, the place was simply called "Famous Bottle Cap Inn". The last photo here is from the 1960s.

A similar obsessive place is Mike & Annie's Penny Bar in McKittrick, CA. Pennies cover nearly every square inch of the interior. In 2007, the place was put up for sale. For more, see this website.
