Robert D. "Bob" Smith, aka "the Whirly-Gig Man", has been working on his environment (the "Land of Broken Dreams") for over 40 years. Parts of it are visible along the fence on the north side of I-90 (the New York State Thruway) in Liverpool, NY. He uses found and natural objects, hangs decorations from logs, creates pathways from old carpeting, and makes small buildings which used to house rabbits and birds.
