The Staunton Giant Flower Pots and Watering Can were created in the 1990s by local artist Willie Ferguson. His other large sculptures in Staunton include a giant open book in front of the library and a large plow near the
Valley Feed Company.
The Staunton Watering Can is approximately 18' tall and 20' wide. The can and pots were created in honor of Barbara Hunter Grant who is a prominent local citizen who serves on various boards and donates to many causes.
The Alexandria Watering Can was most likely created by Ferguson as well. It stands at "Holly Woods and Vines" (a garden center) and functions as a fountain, perpetually watering its companion flower pot.
The Book, Boot, and Ballet Slippers and Pots are located in front Willie Ferguson's business (Ferguson Metal Fabrication).

The owner of Wytheville Office Supply wanted to set an example and get other businesses to build oversized things but they never did, with a couple exceptions. There was a giant pair of Scissors in front of a barber shop at one time.

Unfortunately, this wagon can only be photographed through the fencing now. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Rocket Smog is a smog inspection shop chain. I don't know if any of their other locations have this fun rocket.
