This 19 foot tall Tooth in Hamilton Township was created by J. Seward Johnson in 1980. It was installed in Florida in the 1980s. It was moved here around 1998. The aluminum sculpture is entitled "Comprehension". It includes two perplexed senior citizens reacting to the giant tooth. It is part of the permanent collection of Grounds for Sculpture. The Marshall Teeth are not all that giant but I'll include them anyway. These teeth adorn another dentist's office: two in the display window and two with the sign above.

Giant Walk-Through Heart
Philadelphia, PA
This Giant Walk-Through Heart is two stories tall. It is located at the Franklin Institute. The heart was built in 1954 for a temporary exhibit. It proved to be very popular and became a permanent fixture. Some more recent nearby additions include these giant arteries and a bone bench. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

There was a smaller Walk-Through Heart in Chicago. It has been replaced with a non-walk-through model.

The Giant Hand is about 12 feet long. It is located at Rowe-Rumford, a used car dealer. It looks like the hand may have had a sound box at one time.

This Giant Arm is installed on the side of the building of the Hyde Park Gym. It has been here since at least 2005.

The Fist is a tribute to boxer Joe Louis, aka The Brown Bomber, who grew up in Detroit. The 24 foot long bronze sculpture was installed in 1987. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3.

The Hand of Noah stands in front of the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) headquarters. It is 12 feet tall and was installed in 1991. The bronze sculpture was created by Raymond Kaskey. For more, see this website.

This Giant Hand sculpture in Santa Fe supports a mailbox. It was produced in 1991.

The Giant Hands & Wrenches sculpture in Des Moines is installed in front of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local No 33. It is entitled "Pulling Together" and is made of stainless steel. It was produced by John B. Brommel. There are two left hands to represent that there are two different people working together.

The Webb City Praying Hands are 32 feet tall and weigh 110 tons. They are made of stucco over steel and located on a 40 foot tall hillside. They were built between 1972-1974 as the Hands in Prayer, World in Peace Memorial. For more, see this website.

The Tulsa Praying Hands are located at the entrance to Oral Roberts University. The 60 foot tall hands were made in Mexico in 1980. They are the largest bronze sculpture in the world. The sculpture was originally known as the Healing Hands and was located at Oral Roberts' City of Faith medical center which went bankrupt in 1989. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

Clasped Hands

The Clasped Hands stands in front of the Insight Training Group building. Officially titled the "Opportunity Portal", this sculpture was created by Meg White in 2000. The hands are 15 feet tall and 20 feet wide. For more, see this website.

This Handshake fountain/sculpture stands in front of Plaza 555 on the Capitol Mall.

This Hand with Diploma is installed in front of New Mexico State University. It is approximately about 5 feet tall.

These Boxing Gloves flank the entrance to Bloor Street Boxing & Fitness. This photo is from 2007. In 2010, the gloves were repainted yellow. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

This giant hand takes the name of Hand Car Wash quite literally. The sponge-holding is surmounted by a life-sized replica of a 1957 Corvette. The sculpture was created by Gagik Daniel in 2001. The original sign was 6 feet taller taller and did not comply with city regulations. The sponge was reduced in height to bring the sign down to the 26 foot tall limit. Skate World features this giant hand and globe on its roof. I don't know if this place is still in business.

The Hand with Football sculpture was created by Ken Nyberg from scrap metal. It is located at Nyberg Park.

The Madame Tussauds Hands are located at its Times Square wax museum which opened in 2000. The silver hand is near the street while the gold hand is installed on the roof. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

The Florida School of Massage features two giant hands supporting its sign.

It appears that this House of Hope sign with giant hands once revolved.

This Hand with Coke Bottle is located on the wall of the Schmidt Museum of Coca-Cola Memorabilia which opened in 1977.

Stella's Diner features a giant fist holding utensils over its entrance. The restaurant has been Stella's since 2001 and the fist sculpture is probably from then.

These Zanesville Hands function as chairs outside B&D Sales, a gift shop and deli. There is or was another pair of hands in town.

Hand's Auto Air Conditioning & Radiator
Columbus, OH
Hand's Auto Air Conditioning & Radiator has the same type of hands chairs as the place in Zanesville above. I have not seen these chairs outside of Ohio.
