The Giant Grocery Bag stands in front of the Jackson Market Place supermarket. I believe it was built in the early 1990s. I'd love to know more about it (e.g., the year it was built, its dimensions and if there were others built).
There were another giant Grocery Bag in Owensboro, KY which is gone now. |

| The Giant Guns were on the lot of Custom Iron Works. I believe they both doubled as sculpture and BBQ grills. These photos are from 2006. By 2012, the guns were gone. |

This Del Rio Gun is installed next to Humphrey's Gun Shop. This six-shooter was created in 1981 by Bob Wade. It is 20 feet long and made of steel and stucco. It represents a Colt single-action revolver. For more, see their website. |

| The Giant Rifle and Giant Chainsaw are located at Da Yoopers Tourist Trap. Da Yoopers opened in the late 1980s so these "sculptures" were built sometime after that. This giant old-fashioned Gas Pump stood in front of the Sylvania Gulf station. This photo is from 2007. By 2009, the station became a Citgo and the name on the pump was changed. For more, see this website.
The Beaumont Fire Hydrant was built by Disney to promote the "101 Dalmatians" movie in 1999. It is 24 feet tall and stands in the park in front of the Fire Museum of Texas. For more, see this website. The Columbia Fire Hydrant is 39 feet tall and was installed in 2001 as a public art piece. It was created by Blue Sky and is entitled "Busted Plug Plaza". The steel sculpture leans to one side and rises from broken cement and spouting water. For more, see this website. This inflatable Padlock and Chain is installed on the side of the Fortress Storage building. The padlock is 32 feet tall and 20 feet wide. It has been here for decades. The padlock and chain are placed in storage during winter. |

These Giant Books in Fergus Falls were installed in front of the Fergus Falls Public Library in 2006. They are made of concrete.
These Giant Books in Centerville were installed in front of the Centerville Library in 1997. The 22 foot tall sculpture entitled "The Record" was created by Michael A. Frasca. For more, see this website. These Giant Books in Kansas City were built in 2006 as the "Community Bookshelf". They conceal the parking garage for the Central Branch of the Kansas City Public Library.
