Haunted Trails

These Haunted Trails courses feature many of the same style figures. The Burbank course was built in 1975. The one in Joliet was built in 1988. There is a lot of water and landscaping but the real focus is on the fun monsters and tricky, old-style holes. The same owner operates an Enchanted Castle theme course in Lombard, IL. Golf-A-Rama

Golf-A-Rama opened in 1959. The place closed in 2005 and was abandoned and derelict until 2009. The front course was restored then. There is still a course on the rear of the property that might be fixed up someday. There was another business next door which had go-kart track and batting cages. That place closed in the mid-1980s and is overgrown with weeds. However, the sign is still there (see above). For more, see this website.
