Golgotha Fun Park has been closed and up for sale since at least 2001. Considering the place's poor condition, it seemed unlikely that it would ever reopen. In 2007, it was announced that the property would be transformed into a dinner theatre and a haunted mine attraction.
Golgotha's first 18 holes represented the Old Testament while the other 18 holes showed Christ's toughest miracles. ("Golgotha" was the hill where Jesus was crucified.) The holes were very tricky due to steep hills and other natural hazards. The difficulty of the course probably discouraged repeat business as well. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. |
