Route 1 Miniature Golf Saugus, MA |
Route 1 Mini Golf's most prominent feature is the giant orange dinosaur (named Nick, after the original owner) which overlooks the main highway. Every hole at Route 1 features a hill, a moving obstacle, a blind turn, or some similarly challenging obstruction. There are also batting cages and an ice cream stand on site. The sign is actually a replica made in 1997. The original 1960 neon sign is part of Dave Waller's collection. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

Adventure Golf (now Salisbury Mini Golf and Kart Land) Salisbury, MA |
The top two photos were taken around 2002 when Adventure Golf was in transition. The gorilla has been moved to the very back of a field and is now missing his head and will probably be trashed soon. The whale (too heavy to move, too much work to destroy) is being repainted despite not fitting in with 2004's new theme. A faded sign indicates that this place was once known as the "Fun Spot" and, from the size of the parking lot, must have been very popular. The go-karts seem to be a recent addition.

Rangeway Jurassic Mini Golf Salisbury Beach, MA |
The Salisbury Beach Rangeway has lots of landscaping, streams, rope bridges and apparently former Sinclair gas station dinosaurs. Green ones, pink ones, spotted ones - all appearing to be winking at each other in some sort of secret language. This Rangeway could be an entirely new course or an old one made "pretty".

Rangeway Jurassic Mini Golf Billerica, MA |
The Billerica Rangeway has four Sinclair dinosaurs, two T-Rexs, a stegosaurus, a chipmunk and a bunny. This course has been here since around 1997. There is also a driving range and Richardson's ice cream. Rangeway has one other location (in Taunton, MA) and I'm told it has dinosaurs as well. For more, see their website.
