Callaway Gardens opened in 1959. The top two rows show the Dining Pavilion, aka the Beach Pavilion, which was built at that time. The bottom left photo shows the shuffleboard courts which are next to the Pavilion. I assume they were built at the same time. The bottom right photo shows the grandstand pavilion which is just across the lake from the Dining Pavilion. Grandstand seating is installed there for specators to watch the Waterski & Wakeboard Tournament which has been an annual event since 1959.

Cafe 101 is a pizzeria. I believe before this, the building was used by a sub shop. [first photo, ca. 1987, thanks Eavenson Art]
These two buildings must have been part of a mid-century chain. Does anyone know what they were used for originally? I believe they may have been part of a bank branch chain which included the similar-looking Trust Company Bank in Atlanta. They also look somewhat like the Phoenix Financial Center rotundas in Phoenix, AZ. If there are other buildings like this, I'd sure like to know about them.
