One Woodward Avenue
Detroit, MI

One Woodward Avenue was designed by Minoru Yamasaki and built in 1962. It was originally built for the Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. and was later known as the American Natural Resources Building. Now it simply goes by the One Woodward Avenue name and houses multiple tenants. Bally Total Fitness
Southfield, MI

Bally Total Fitness was also designed by Minoru Yamasaki and built in 1959. It was originally used as the Reynolds Metals regional sales office. Appropriately, the building features gold aluminum screens.

Michigan State Medical Society
Lansing, MI

The Michigan State Medical Society is another design by Minoru Yamasaki. It was built in 1959 of precast concrete and quartz aggregate. For more, see this website.

These doctors' offices feature concrete screens, and a glassy midsection with a sawtooth roof and hanging mid-century looking lights.
