Retro Inferno
Kansas City, MO
Tiger Embroidery
Columbia, MO
Retro Inferno occupies a former office equipment store that was built in 1964. The second level's floor-to-ceiling windows are covered by aluminum sunscreens. The company moved into the building around 2003 and sells mid-century furnishings. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3.

The Tiger Embroidery building appears to be from the 1960s. Does anyone know what was here originally?

Tux Tees & More
Macon, MO
The Tux Tees & More building looks like it might have housed a bank originally. It appears to be from the 1960s or 1970s. It might have been the building illustrated in this postcard from 1964.

Macy's
St. Ann, MO
This former Macy's department store was part of the Northwest Plaza shopping mall. The building originally housed a Famous-Barr store. The mall was built in 1963 and closed in 2010. It is expected that all or most of the mall will be demolished. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

A similar design was used for the Famous-Barr store (now Macy's) in Fairview Heights, IL.
