J. Ralph Murray Athletic Center
Elmira College
Horseheads, NY
The Murray Athletic Center was built in 1973. There are three large geodesic domes which are 63' tall and 240' in diameter. One is used as an ice arena, another for tennis, and the other for a gym and locker rooms. For more, see this website.

dome house
Machias, NY
This dome house is made of poured concrete. Some of the reinforcing rebar is now showing. I assume this building is from the 1960s or 1970s.

geodesic dome
Mayfield, NY
Calvary Baptist Church
Le Roy, NY
This geodesic dome was vacant in 2010 when this photo was taken. It has probably always been used for retail purposes.

The Calvary Baptist Church is another geodesic dome building. These structures are sometimes referred to as "Bucky Balls", a reference to Buckminster Fuller who developed them. I don't know if this dome was originally designed as a church or if it had an earlier purpose.
