Marshmallow Building [gone] Allison Park, PA |
The Marshmallow Building may have been designed by Monsanto which created Disneyland's "House of the Future." Some people seem to remember this structure, or something very similar, being used as a visitors' center at Gateway Center in downtown Pittsburgh. It disappeared sometime in the 1980s and was possibly moved here. In 2007, this building was vacant and for sale. In 2009, it was demolished. I'm told it might last have been used as an eye doctor's office. I'd love to know more about the place if anyone has any information. For more, see this website.

The National Products Building had been sitting empty for years and was in danger of being demolished. In 2003, it was announced that the building would be converted into condos. The food service products company had been there since 1929, but the orange-tiled façade was designed in the 1957. This façade was preserved during the building's conversion.
