former Ford showroom Savannah, GA

This former Ford showroom now houses two small shops. Ford was not the original occupant of this building. The Ford Motor Co. was founded in 1906 and this building is from 1897. Does anyone know what the original purpose of this building was or when Ford moved in and out? For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

unknown building Atlanta, GA

This unknown building is now occupied by Custom Signs Today. My instincts tell me it was once a showroom but I could be wrong. There was another identical building on the same lot at one time.

Frank Andrews Chevrolet Dublin, GA

I believe Frank Andrews Chevrolet has been here since the 1960s. The building looks older than that. The presence of the logo on the building leads me to believe that there was another Chevrolet dealer here before them.

Marietta Dodge Jeep Marietta, GA

The Marietta Dodge Jeep showroom was built in the late 1960s. This is one of several red and white round Dodge showrooms that remain. The buildings were known as "Dodge Domes". This place was vacant in 2009 when this photo was taken and still vacant in 2010. Hopefully, the building will find a new occupant and not be demolished.
