Chevy Chase Chevrolet Bethesda, MD

The Chevy Chase Chevrolet (now Chevy Chase Cars) showroom was built in 1939. It has obviously been updated but still retains much of its original appearance. For more, see their website.

former Lustine Chevrolet Hyattsville, MD

The Lustine showroom and their enormous used car lot across the street were vacant when I shot these photos in 2004. In 2007, the building reopened as the "Lustine Center": a fitness center for the Arts District Hyattsville residential complex. The Lustine dealership was founded in 1923, selling Chevrolet automobiles. By 1936, they began selling Oldsmobiles as well. In 1950, Lustine opened this location which was very modern for its time. Ourisman Chevrolet Bowie, MD

Ourisman Chevrolet opened with this circular showroom in 1969. I suspect that it originally had a dome on the roof. For more, see their website.

Len Stoler Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Cadillac Westminster, MD

This Len Stoler showroom was originally used for Westminster Motors. It is believed to be from the 1960s. Its slanted roof reminds me of a giant ice cream stand. For more, see their website.
