Richmond Garage
Woodstock, VT
The Richmond Garage was originally a car showroom, possibly a Ford dealership. It is now home to Maplefields (a Mobil station convenience store).

Goss Dodge
South Burlington, VT
Goss Tire
St. Johnsbury, VT
The showroom at the left was built in 1971 and has always been Goss Dodge. A Goss salesman described how impractical the glass design was for Vermont winters (cold, glazing over, etc.).

The St. Johnsbury Goss Tire was built in 1985, a scaled-down simulation of their car showroom. Orginally, this building had a faux tire tread around the roof paneling but there was a problem with the paint and they wound up going with this simpler design. Goss built several tire stores but the only other round one is in Plattsburgh, NY. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.
