Springdale Bowl
Springdale, AR
Katz
Discount Jewelers
Blytheville, AR
Godsey Cleaners
North Little Rock, AR

The Susie Q Malt Shop is now Susie Q Sandwiches.

The Springdale Bowl features this colorful sign which is probably 1950s/1960s.

Katz Discount Jewelers is closed and the building is vacant. I don't know what will become of the sign. For more, see this website.

Godsey Cleaners opened in 1943.

Argenta Drug Co.
North Little Rock, AR

The Argenta Drug Co. opened here in 1887, making it one of the oldest pharmacies in the country. North Little Rock was once known as Argenta.

Flying Fish
Little Rock, AR
First Baptist Church
Little Rock, AR
Ritz Motel
Little Rock, AR
Yellow Jacket Drive-in
Sheridan, AR
Magic Hills Public Golf
Hot Springs, AR

The Flying Fish restaurant is part of a chain with six locations in AR, TN and TX. The sign is a new one but nicely done. For more, see their website.

This First Baptist Church sign appears to be an oldie. I don't recall ever seeing an old neon church sign before.

The Ritz Motel sign is beautifully lit at night. For more, see this website.

The Yellow Jacket Drive-in looks like it might have been "B.C." something at one point.

The Magic Hills Public Golf opened in 1955 and has nine holes.

Liquor Mart
Hot Springs, AR
Hammer
Hot Springs, AR
Bohemia Restaurant
Hot Springs, AR
El Rancho Motel

Tower Motel

The Liquor Mart features a neat neon pinwheel sign. Does anyone know if it's lit at night?

This giant Hammer sign stands in front of a closed hardware store.

I believe the Bohemia Restaurant is now closed. For more, see this website.

The El Rancho Motel features a nice big saguaro cactus although they are nowhere near the desert.

The Arkansas Tower Motel sign mimics the motel's office turret. For more, see this website.

Capri Motel
Hot Springs, AR
Park Avenue Motel
Hot Springs, AR
Perry Plaza Motel
Hot Springs, AR
Aristocrat Hotel
Hot Springs, AR

The Capri Motel sign is still lit at night. For more, see this website.

The Park Avenue Motel could use a fresh coat of paint. I believe this place is apartments rather than a motel now.

The Perry Plaza Motel sign features a diving woman, a somewhat common element used in the 1950s. I believe the Perry Plaza Motel was originally known as the Perry Plaza Court.

The Aristocrat Hotel was built in 1965. The place is now the Aristocrat Manor Apartments.

Lake Atkins
Atkins, AR
Lou's Fresh
& Smoked Meats
Russellville, AR
Coleman Pharmacy
Alma, AR
Razorback Hog
Alma, AR

The Lake Atkins sign features a neat add-on fish.

The Lou's Fresh & Smoked Meats sign probably had neon at one time. I saw another of these signs in Arkansas so I suspect this was part of a meat market chain.

The Coleman Pharmacy sign features an animated pestle. I don't know if it's still lit at night.

This Razorback Hog sign probably predates the University of Arkansas teams/mascot. It once advertised for Razorback Salvage and has been here at least 20 years. The property is now owned by Russell Auto Group.

Hawkins Company

Swan Motel
Fort Smith, AR
Bottle Shop
Texarkana, AR
Buhrman-Pharr Hardware
Texarkana, AR

Texarkana, AR

The Hawkins Company has been around since 1947.

The Swan Motel sign was probably all neon originally.

The Bottle Shop sign was restored just after I took this photo. For more, see this website.

The Buhrman-Pharr Hardware Company was founded in 1908. Part of the building is now used as residential lofts. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

This Kaiser Frazer car dealership sign hangs above the Tex-Ark Antique Auto Museum. It came from a former business in town. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

The Holiday Bowl has been around since the 1950s. The sign is still lit at night. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

BJ's Liquor features a great old sign more typical of supermarkets.

Spudnuts are potato flour doughnuts. The nationwide chain was founded in 1946 in Salt Lake City, UT. The company no longer exists but there are still many remaining stores operating independently. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
