The Paris Cafe, a Chinese restaurant, became the the London Cafe in 2008. A Union Jack covered up most of the neon sign in 2008 when this photo was taken. The restaurant is now the Yummy House and the neon is visible again. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3.

The Chesbro Music Co. was founded around 1918. I don't believe this giant note is lit anymore. For more, see this website.

The Evergreen Gables Motel still has little gabled cottages but I believe they are used as apartments now.

This swirl sign was once part of the Paramount Theatre marquee which was built in 1929. The theatre closed in the late 1980s. In 1997, the building was restored to its original 1919 look when it was known as the Colonial Theatre. This swirl was moved to a corner location when the marquee was removed. The Colonial Inn is a restaurant and lounge. It has been around since the 1950s. Their sign is lit at night. For more, see this website.

The Mangum's sign originally advertised for Mangum's Western Wear. It is from the early 1960s and never had neon. The sign was reworded when the store began focusing on Indian crafts. In 1991, the owner's daughter opened "Beader's Paradise" and the sign was adapted again. This photo is from 2008. In 2009, the sign was repainted by a local art teacher. For more, see this website.

The Thousand Springs Winery advertises with this giant wine bottle and glass sign on a hillside along I-84. Their business is actually located in Hagerman, ID. The bottle is about 30' tall. [photo thanks Mark Comstock]

The Crooked Bar Tavern, now the Suds Tavern, opened in 1956. In the 1970s, the building was used as a grocery store. It was then converted back into a bar. The sign is no longer lit.

The Vista Maytag Laundry features a giant washer woman atop their sign. She moves up and down and her head turns.

The Paul Bunyan Pak-Out has been here since the 1950s. The restaurant was rebuilt in the 1990s. This sign is about 20' tall and is believed to be the original.

The China Gate was damaged by a fire in 2008. The restaurant closed and the sign is now in a private collection.
