Masonic
Temple
Auburn, IN
Nick's Kitchen
Huntington, IN
Good Time Charlie's
Marion, IN
WBAT
Marion, IN
This Masonic Temple features a stained glass sign which are very rare. The only other two that I know of are in Bremen, IN and Yreka, CA.

Nick's Kitchen has been around since 1908. This sign was built in 2009 as a replica of their original sign from 1947. There had been a plastic sign here for many years. This new sign is lit at night. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

This sign at Good Time Charlie's is lit at night. I assume at one time, the spikes lit independently or in some sort of pattern. For more, see this website.

The WBAT radio station has moved but this sign remains. For more, see this website.

Diplomat Motel
Elkhart, IN
Rainbo Lanes
Elkhart, IN
Traveler's Inn
Elkhart, IN
Big & Tall Outlet
Elkhart, IN
The Diplomat Motel sign is probably from the 1950s. It is lit at night. For more, see this website.

The Rainbo Lanes opened in 1963. It closed in 2011 just after this photo was taken. The circles were once animated neon bowling balls which sequenced towards the pin.

The Traveler's Inn has been here since at least 1962. The man on the sign was outlined with neon originally.

The Big & Tall Outlet sign is, appropriately, very tall. I don't know when it was built but, surely, the LED screen must be a new addition.

Gentis Dry Cleaning
Muncie, IN
Oasis Bar & Grill
Muncie, IN
Gentis Dry Cleaning, operating most recently as Gentis-Huber Cleaners, appears to be closed now.

The Oasis Bar & Grill opened in 1952 and I assume this sign is from then. I don't believe it is lit anymore. There used to be a 20' tall chainsaw carving of a basketball player in front of this bar. But by 2005, all that remained was his shoes.

Griffith
Furniture
Griffith, IN
Cressmoor Lanes
Hobart, IN
Scottsburg Lanes
Scottsburg, IN
Kleptz Bar & Restaurant
Seelyville, IN
Griffith Furniture has been closed since at least 2008. However, the sign remains.

The Cressmoor Lanes sign appears to be from the 1950s. It is still open and the sign is lit at night. For more, see this website.

The Scottsburg Lanes sign features a classic pin outlined in neon. It is still lit at night. For more, see this website.

The Kleptz Bar & Restaurant sign looks like it might be from the 1940s. It was removed in 2009. For more, see this website.

Bo-Mac's Drive In
Shoals, IN
Masonic Lodge
Shoals, IN
Pang-Ford Motel
Mishawaka, IN
S&H Carbonic Inc.
Mishawaka, IN
Bo-Mac's Drive In opened in 1960. This sign appears to have been recently refurbished. It is lit at night. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

This Masonic Lodge sign is probably from the 1950s. I've not seen one with this design before.

The Pang-Ford Motel appears to be from the 1950s.

S&H Carbonic Inc. sells fire fire extinguishers and safety equipment. The flaming letters of "FIRE" are lit at night.

Wawasee Bowl
Syracuse, IN
The Post
Pierceton, IN
The Wawasee Bowl has been here since at least 1980 and probably much longer than that.

The Post has been here since at least 1966. I think this place might be closed. For more, see this website.

Kennedy's
Mobile Manor
Columbus, IN
Art's Cleaners
Columbus, IN
Burd's Cleaners
Columbus, IN
One Hour Cleaners
Marion, IN
One Hour Cleaners
Jeffersonville, IN
Kennedy's Mobile Manor is a trailer park. The sign appears to be from the 1940s or 1950s. The disks on top might have been added later.

Art's Cleaners has been here since at least the early 1960s. For more, see this website.

Burd's Cleaners is a chain with at least three locations in Columbus. I don't know if their other stores have this old sign.

The Marion One Hour Cleaners sign is no longer lit at night. Apparently, these signs were mass-produced and the Columbus, Marion and Jeffersonville stores may have been part of the same chain. Similar signs exist in Cookeville, TN and Greenfield, MA which leads me to believe that this was possibly a nationwide chain. This Marion sign, unlike the other two, has no arrow.

The Jeffersonville One Hour Cleaners sign has a bulb-filled arrow rather than a neon one. This business moved in 2010 and this store was vacant. This sign remains for now. For more, see this website.

Wayfare Motel
Jeffersonville, IN
Holiday Motel
Jeffersonville, IN
Jerry's
Family Restaurant
Jeffersonville, IN
Gateway Plaza
Jeffersonville, IN
Pyramid
Village Motel
Clarksville, IN
The Wayfare Motel sign was repainted in 2010 just before this photo was taken. Some of the text on the lower part of the sign was painted over. This sign is lit at night. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

The Holiday Motel sign is lit at night. The name and font style were inspired by the classic Holiday Inn sign. For more, see this website.

The Jerry's Family Restaurant sign is probably from the 1960s. It is lit at night. I believe this was part of the Jerry's Restaurant Restaurant chain which had many locations in Kentucky and the South. I don't think any other plastic signs like this one still exist. Just about all the neon signs on the remaining Jerry's restaurant have been replaced with plastic box signs. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

The Gateway Plaza shopping center sign is no longer lit at night.

The Pyramid Village Motel is now used for residential units.

Colgate Clock
Jeffersonville, IN
The Colgate Clock is 38' in diameter with 16' and 20' hands. The clock is positioned to be visible from Louisville, KY. Originally, this clock was located in Jersey City, NJ. It was moved here when that location got a bigger clock sign. The Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Company plant opened here in 1923. This building previously housed the Indiana Reformatory for Men. Colgate moved out in 2008 and the building was added to the list of the "Ten Most Endangered" places in IN. The Colgate sign is now gone but the clock remains and is lit at night.
