Ken's Ice Cream Parlor is open but up for sale. With the neon missing, it's hard to tell if this was the original business advertised by this sign. The cone might also have been a later addition. For more, see this website.
The Palomino Motel opened in 1953. The original sign is now part of Neonopolis in Las Vegas, NV. For more, see this website. Del's Restaurant opened in 1956. The sign was restored in 2002. For more, see their website. The Apache Motel must also be from the 1950s. It was closed in 2005 but, in 2006, it found new owners who repainted the sign. I believe the sign had a red background originally and then had a black background for many years. It was painted white in 2006. For more, see 1 and 2. [black sign photo thanks Glenda Campbell] |
