Salerno Bros. was an appliance store established 1927. This façade sign looked to be 1950s. The store closed around 2007 and this signage was removed.
The Flamingo Bowl has been around since the 1950s. It recently renovated its interior. This sign appears almost too nice to be original but I'm assured that it is. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. The Sara Glen Motel is located between Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls, NY. In the 1950s, this sign had three blinking arrows on the left. The "TV" was added in the late 1950s. This motel originally had cabins when it was built in the 1930s. For more, see their website. The Lake Luzerne Motel features this 1950s-looking neon sign. For more, see their website. [photo thanks DinerFan] The Dew Drop Inn is long gone but the sign has been allowed to stay. |

The Mohican Motel was built in 1956. It has two great signs from the 1950s. On the sign at the right, the feathers used to blink but a local ordinance now forbids it. As is the case in many places, if the sign comes down for repairs, they can’t put it back up. For more, see their website.
The Surfside on the Lake motel and sign are from the 1950s. For more, see their website. OOO'Sullivan's Motel has traditional motel rooms as well as log cabins with fireplaces (with free firewood). For more, see their website. |

The Gatesdale Diner was originally the Gatesdale Dairy Bar. Its previously flashing milk bottle sign is from 1941 when the place opened. The bottle once had "Gatesdale" painted in script. In 2006, they closed and the building was taken over by Dominick's Italian Bistro. The sign was repainted to represent a wine bottle pouring into a glass. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.
The Super Cream features great homemade ice cream and soft-serve. For more ice cream stands and signs, see this section. The Chanticleer Lounge has a landmarked neon sign from 1947. Walter's Shoe Store opened in 1946 and closed in July 2003. This incredible signage probably won't be around much longer. |

Flexlume started in 1904 in Canada. It has been in Buffalo since 1911. Its early signs were for movie theaters, auto dealerships and banks. The company continues to specialize in banks, schools and specialty signs. Their display window features some interesting old signs. For more, see their website.
The 3 Minute Car Wash sign is crude but wonderful and appears to be from the 1950s or 1960s. The Park Florist sign appears to be from the 1950s and looks to be in good working order. The Copper Kettle Grill looks like it's been closed for many years. |

Although the Wilke Signs sign says "since 1927", they might not be around anymore. There appears to be an auto shop behind it and a very residential house next door.
The Community Restaurant appears to be from the 1940s or 1950s. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. Brooks' Bar-B-Q began as a catering business in 1951. They opened this restaurant in 1965. Their huge restaurant seats 300 and has the largest indoor charcoal pit barbeque in the East. There is also a picnic area and a sauce production facility on site. The animated, neon sign was recently renovated. For more, see their website. |

Krisch's Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor opened in 1920. They feature diner-like atmosphere and food, as well as homemade ice cream. For more, see their website.
Snowflake Ice Cream opened in 1953. They also offer homemade ice cream. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. The Modern Snack Bar opened in 1950. It is a full-scale diner-like restaurant. The neon on their sign still works but the arrow's bulbs no longer produce a chasing pattern. For more, see their website. The Rocky Point Discount Tires sign has it all: channel letters with neon, incandescent bulbs, multiple fonts, the classic arrow, and wonderfully crude tire artwork. |
