The Shamrock Motel sign is partially lit at night. For more, see this website.
This Chrysler Airtemp sign hangs above the Aycock Distributing Co., a wholesale sporting goods company. In 1934, Chrysler began producing Airtemp air conditioners. In the 1970s, this part of their business was sold to Fedders. I'm not sure of the connection between the sign and the business. This 7-Eleven sign is an extremely rare oldie. Since at least the 1970s, their signs have included a green border along the bottom. There are similar oldies in Tempe, AZ, San Jose, CA, and San Diego, CA. The Budget Inn sign bears a striking resemblance to the old Holiday Inn signs. I believe the Sulphur Springs Muffler Center sign originally advertised for Mobile Home Insurance. Another example of their sign is at this page. This sign revolves very slowly. For more, see this website. |

Buford Drugs has been replaced with a tanning salon but the sign remains. The Howdy Doody Drive-in Grocery which had at least 15 locations in town at one point. This is their only old sign as far as I know. Logan's Shoe Shop has been here since the 1950s. Their sign is still lit at night. For more, see this website. |

This Mario's Flying Pizza sign appears to be an oldie. Their Seabrook, TX location has a modern neon sign.
The Beasley's Jewelry sign looks nicely maintained. Big State Drugs opened in 1948. Boggus Ford opened in 1984 so the name on the sign was probably changed at that time. |

The Texas Grill opened in 1961 and I believe the plastic chef sign is from then. The sign shaped like the state of Texas was previously located at the Texas Theatre (now gone). For more, see this website.
The Sands Motel features a towering classic sign. M.L. Leddy Boots was founded in 1922 and opened a store in San Angelo in 1936. All Leddy's boots are made in San Angelo, while their saddles are produced at the company's headquarters in Fort Worth. For more, see their website. J.L. Mercer Boots opened in San Angelo in 1923. For more, see their website. |

Lassa Optical Co. has been here since at least the early 1960s.
The Good Housekeeping Shop features some eye-catching signage. Kimbrough's Super Service is a gas station sign. The building appears to be vacant. |
