This Goodyear sign in Topeka is located at a tire production plant. The building was constructed in 1944. Goodyear bought the facility in 1946. This sign might be from that time. It probably had neon originally.
This old Hallettsville Goodyear sign is installed at a used car lot. This Red Level Goodyear sign hangs from the side of a former garage building. This Woodward Goodyear sign is no longer associated with any nearby business. It apparently had a neon border originally. |

| Alligood's Garage was probably a combination repair shop and gas station at one time. The building appeared vacant when these photos were taken in 2010. There is an Alligood's Mechanical Service elsewhere in town. So, it appears the company is still around but moved at some point. |

McElroy Tire, Inc. opened here in 1931. McElroy's closed in 2009 and the building was demolished in 2010. The Goodyear pylon sign was reworked at some point with the McElroy name. The sign was saved by the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture. The organization hopes to display it somewhere in town. It was still in storage in 2012. For more, see this website.
The Crestview Service Center opened in 1950 and features this rare, rooftop Goodyear sign. It features three types of lighting: chasing bulbs and a neon border, as well as backlit plastic. I have not seen any other Goodyear sign like this. It is still lit at night. For more, see this website. |

Kahn & Keville has been here since 1912. The building shown here appears to be an addition from the 1920s or 1930s. Their two neon signs are from 1951 and are lit at night. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

| The Goodyear Tires sign shown in the top row above is composed entirely of incandescent bulbs. The neon sign shown in the bottom row is installed on a building across the street. It was built later for cars passing in the opposite direction. The bulb sign is lit at night. I don't know if the neon sign is. The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company was founded in Akron in 1898. | The Goodyear Auto Service Center and Abe & Doc's Goodyear Service Center features nicely preserved, embossed plastic signs. I believe Abe & Doc's opened here in 1961. Their sign might be from then. There is another sign like this in Anniston, AL. |
