I believe Cleve-Hill Tire & Auto has been here since 1976. The building has some Art Deco touches but they were probably added later. The office part of the building was possibly built, or at least remodeled, in the 1920s or 1930s. From the number of bays, it would suggest that this has always been a service garage of some kind.

Kerr's Tire Korner
Erie, PA
Kerr's Tire Korner opened in 1971. The building is obviously older than that. It may have been used by another tire dealer, gas station, or garage previously.

Pahl Tire Company
Madison, WI
The Pahl Tire Company has been at this building since the early 1960s. The building was constructed in 1930 as Edwards Super Service Station, a gas station and garage. By 1933, this was a Pennco station selling Barnsdall Oil products. For more, see this website.

Belknap Tire has been around since the 1940s. This building appears to be from the 1950s. For more, see their website.

Southern Tire Service was founded in Louisville in 1920. This building is from 1958.

Hughes Bros. Tire

Hughes Bros. Tire features an enormous canopy. The building looks like it's probably from the 1940s.

Mt. Pleasant Tire Service
Mt. Pleasant, MI
Mt. Pleasant Tire Service opened here in 1936.

Roosevelt Tire Service
Gastonia, NC		 former Goss tire showroom
Plattsburgh, NY
Roosevelt Tire Service opened in 1939 as a retreading business. They moved to this location in 1954.

This Goss Tire showroom was part of the Vermont chain. Knight Automotive, a new car dealer, continues to use this round building as a tire store.

former General Tire
Miami, FL
This Miami General Tire store was designed by Robert Law Weed and built in 1956. The store also sold Standard Oil gas. The building now houses "Andiamo" and "Leo's Touch", a pizzeria and car wash, respectively. [vintage photo thanks Wayne Henderson]

Town Tire
Los Angeles, CA
Town Tire, a tire store and repair garage, closed around 2006. They were in business here since at least the 1960s. The building is obviously much older than that. It was probably always a repair garage and there might have been a gas station on the lot at one time. For more, see this website.

This OK Tire Store was part of a nationwide chain. This sign's OK letters probably contained neon originally.

Jim's OK Tire Store has been here since at least the early 1950s. This sign must have had neon originally.
