| The Jackson Building is next door to the Coronado Theatre which was built in 1927. The Jackson was probably built at or near the same time. The ground floor is in use as "Coronado Corner", a gift shop and visitor's center operated by Friends of the Coronado. |

The Beacon-News Building is faced with mint green vitrolite tiles. There was originally black vitrolite along the bottom of the building. It was probably built in the 1930s.
The Boy Scouts of America building was constructed around 1940 as the Chatten House. In 1967, it became the Gardner Memorial Boy Scout Service Center for the Saukee Area Council (now Mississippi Valley Council). |
