Dinosaur
Southington, CT
The Southington Dinosaur is about 12 feet tall and is located in someone's backyard. The statue is made of wood, wire mesh and concrete. To the left of the dinosaur, there is a monkey/devil figure with skeleton markings on his chest. There was once another dinosaur here as well. These statues were built in the late 1950s or early 1960s by Bob Marotto, the former owner of the house.

T-Rex
Montville, CT
This 14 foot tall, 32 foot long T-Rex is nicknamed Monty, most likely after his location. He was built by a concrete artist in Arizona and shipped here in two pieces. Monty was welded together and unveiled in 2000. He stands in front of the Nature's Art gift shop/educational center. They have expanded with the Dinosaur Place: a playground, park with a picnic area, and trails with 16 dinosaur sculptures including a 40 foot tall brachiosaurus. Monty is sometimes dressed in costumes. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3.
