Corral Drive-in [gone]
Raymondsville, TX

All that remains of the Corral Drive-in is the concession stand. It had room for 400 cars. For more info, see this website.

Circle Drive-in [closed]
Waco, TX

The Circle Drive-in opened in 1947 and closed in 1982. It originally had an Indian-themed mural which was replaced in 1964 with a bear running through a stadium. The bear is the mascot of the local college, Baylor University. This faded mural is barely visible now. The tower has been converted into an insurance office and the parking area, which could hold 400 cars, is used for a flea market. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3.

Dallas, TX
Starlite Drive-in [closed]
Brenham, TX

The Jefferson Drive-in opened in 1949 and closed in 1987. It reopened in 1989 but closed again in 1990. The six-story screen tower featured a neon mural of cartoon characters playing in a band while a man and woman danced. It was the only remaining drive-in still standing in the Dallas area. In 2003 when these photos were taken, it was being used as a truck parking lot. The Dallas school district bought the site in 2004 and the remaining screentower, marquee, and ticket booth were demolished to build a new elementary school. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

The Starlite Drive-in opened around the 1950s and closed in 1980. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.
