| Richman's Ice Cream started out as Richman's Dairy in 1894. The cast concrete Art Deco façade is from 1947. There was a smaller location in Sharptown but that is gone. The ice cream is not actually made here any more but it is damned good anyway and there is also a full-scale restaurant. |

Cliff's Dairy Maid, featuring homemade ice cream, opened in 1975. There has been an ice cream stand here since the mid-1940s.
Strollo's Lighthouse began selling Italian ices in 1976. I believe this building with the lighthouse on the roof is the most recently built of their three locations. Another of their locations, in Red Bank, NJ, occupies a former gas station. For more, see their website. |
