DB's Drive-in
Weedsport, NY
DB's Drive-in started out as a Tastee-Freez around the mid-1950s. The building retains the plastic diamond pattern around the roof and blue glazed brick.

Frosty Boy K
Knightstown, IN
Straw Hat
Twin Lakes, WI
Frosty Boy K is another former Tastee-Freez with the blue brick and plastic diamonds. It was built as a Tastee-Freez in 1967. By the 1970s, it was known as Tastee Cream. I don't know when it became Frosty Boy K. Evidently, this stand is or was connected with the Pizza King and Frosty Boy chains. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

The Straw Hat occupies a former Tastee-Freez building.

former Tastee-Freez
Luverne, MN
This former Tastee-Freez now houses J.J.'s Tasty Drive In.

Boz Hot Dogs
Griffith, IN
This Boz Hot Dogs stand housed a Tastee-Freez originally. The Boz Hot Dogs chain was founded in 1969. There is another old location in Hazel Crest, IL.

Your Pizza Shop
Minerva, OH
Your Pizza Shop is a chain with 11 locations in Ohio and 3 in Florida. I doubt any of the other locations occupy a former Tastee-Freez.

former Tastee-Freez
Newport, TN
This former Tastee-Freez now houses the People's Choice restaurant.

Walls' Drive-in
Cannelton, IN
Frog Hut
Wellsboro, PA
Walls' Drive-in was originally a Tastee-Freez. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

The Frog Hut occupies a former Tastee-Freez.

Tastee-Freez
Hillsville, VA
former Tastee-Freez
Graham, NC
This Hillsville Tastee-Freez has intact diamond signage. I don't know if the building ever had blue brick.

This Graham Tastee-Freez now houses Jim's Hot Dogs. Some locals still call the place Jim's Tastee-Freez.

former Tastee-Freez
Fuquay-Varina, NC
Tastee-Freez
Chicago, IL
Tastee-Freez
Wickenburg, AZ
This former Tastee-Freez in Fuquay-Varina now houses RJ's Place.

This Tastee-Freez in Chicago features another old plastic sign. I believe this stand has been here since 1951.

This Tastee-Freez in Wickenburg appears to be new or remodeled. This sign with the Tee and Eff characters is probably from the 1960s.

Tastee-Freez
Hickory Hills, NC
This Tastee-Freez features two, identical neon signs in the window. I have never seen them before and don't know how old they are.

Tasty Treat
East Lansing, MI
Tasty Treat opened here in 2011. Tasty Twist operated here from 1960-2011. The building and diamond-shaped signs show this was originally a Tastee-Freez. The angled roof and walk-up window seem to indicate that this was an earlier Tastee-Freez that was updated with the plastic signs later on. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

Tastee-Freez
North Aurora, IL
The North Aurora Tastee-Freez opened in 1967 and this sign was probably from then. The stand had been vacant since at least 2006. In 2010, the building was remodeled and reopened. By 2012, the stand was closed and the sign was gone. As far as I know, this was the only sign of its kind still on display.

former Tastee-Freez
Goldsboro, NC
former Tastee-Freez
Midlothian, IL
The former Goldsboro Tastee-Freez is an example of the company's sawtooth roof style building. This location is now known as the Sof-T-Shop.

This Midlothian Tastee-Freez seemed to be closed when this photo was taken in 2009. Apparently, the front of the building, where the walk-up window was, has been filled in.

Sam's Tastee Treat
Olathe, KS
Tastee-Freez
Chilhowie, VA
Sam's Tastee Treat opened as a Tastee-Freez in 1963. It has been Sam's since the mid-1990s. For more, see their website.

This Chilhowie Tastee-Freez still retains some of its plastic signage.
