Kiser's 66 Super Service Station was built by Bradley Kiser in 1932. It has been restored but is not in use. There are Texaco pumps and signs on display but I don't know if that was the brand sold here originally. I have seen vintage Conoco stations with very similar canopies and supports. The building is maintained by the Texas Historic Route 66 Association.
former station McLean, TX

This former station has the same style support column as Kiser's 66 described above. This building was constructed in 1926 as a showroom and garage. It became a Panhandle gas station in the 1940s. The canopy was originally covered with Spanish tile made of tin. The building's yellow brick was covered with stucco by the 1990s to give it a more Spanish look. This building was vacant when this photo was taken in 2011.
