Leonard Knight's monument to God is located in the the desert of Niland, CA. The monument is 40' high and 100' wide and was created with haybales, concrete and thousands of gallons of paint. In 1994, local officials declared the mountain a "toxic nightmare" and tried to tear it down. But Knight and his supporters prevailed. The artwork needs constant repainting.
