Bradenton Donuts started out as a Mister Donut (see this altered Mister Donut sign which has the same basic shape). It has been Bradenton Donuts since the early 1990s. They feature donuts made with potato flour. The sign's shape mimics the roofline. For more, see this website.
The Yen Ching Stir-Fry Express was also originally a Mister Donut. The building is now vacant. |

Rick's On 5 has an adapted Mister Donut sign. The original building has either been remodeled or replaced. For more, see this website.
Tommy's Donuts is another example of Mister Donut's W-shaped roof. The main sign has been adapted while the one on the side of the building is original. |

This former Mister Donut in Decatur is or was still selling donuts as Donuts & Mor and K&S Donuts. I'm not sure if they were still open when this photo was taken in 2009.
This former Mister Donut in Tulsa is now home to Dayton's Trailer Hitch. |
| Little Caesars Pizza Syracuse, NY |
![]() |
| This Little Caesars Pizza has occupied this former Mister Donut since at least 2006. |
| Speedee Cash Las Vegas, NV |
![]() |
| This Speedee Cash appears to be another former Mister Donut. In the late 1990s, it was occupied by Charleston Shoe Repair. |

These two buildings are from the late 1960s and were originally part of the NEBA Roast Beef chain. The Queensbury location still specializes in roast beef as Mr. B's Best. This building originally had yellow trim along the roofline. The interior has been greatly modified.
The former NEBA Roast Beef in Quincy has been used as an electronics store, a pet store, and currently houses "Baxter Pharmacy". The original exterior remains pretty much intact. For more, see this website. [scan upper left thanks Larry Cultrera] |

This former Hollywood NEBA Roast Beef opened in the mid-1960s. As of 2009, it was occupied by a Papa Johns pizza restaurant. However, this building may soon be demolished for condos. There are reports of at least a couple locations in Miami, FL but I don't believe those buildings still exist.
There is another former NEBA Roast Beef in St. Louis, MO. Does anyone know more about the chain or know of other remaining buildings? |
| former Short Stop Food Store Fairfield, CA |
![]() |
| This former Short Stop Food Store now houses the Union Food & Liquor store. Many of the buildings in this chain later became Cheaper Food and Liquor stores. I believe these Short Stop stores were only in Northern CA. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2. |
| Wegmans East Rochester, NY |
![]() |
| Wegmans uses this same style roofline on a grander scale. The expansive canopy is similar to the Park-N-Shop in Charlotte, NC. Wegmans supermarket history goes back to 1915. This location was built in 1958. For more, see their website. |
