This former Marmon Hupmobile showroom was designed by Paul Gerhardt. It was built in 1920 in an Egyptian style. Since 2000, it has been home to Nick's Uptown, a bar/nightclub. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, and 3.

former Ford showroom
Carmi, IL
former Riviera-Burnstine Motor Sales
Chicago, IL
The Carmi Ford showroom looks like it was built around the same time as the one in Columbus. However, this one now has a drab and reworked ground-level. The upper level trademark refers to Henry Ford's Model T which was known as the Universal Car. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

The former Riviera-Burnstine Motor Sales showroom was built in 1925 in a Mediterranean style. It features a detailed terra cotta façade and a grand staircase inside. The building now houses the Broadway Bank.

Diamond Vogel Paints

This Diamond Vogel paint store building appears to be a former dealership.

Garage
Monticello, IL
This Garage was probably never a showroom but I'll include it anyway. It is now used for a variety of businesses. Does anyone know more about this building? Winged wheels were a common design element used in garage designs. Another example is the Gutberlet Chevrolet building in McConnelsville, OH.

former showroom
Chicago, IL
This former showroom was built in the 1920s. The building was demolished by the facade was preserved. The new building is now occupied by the Center on Halsted and a Whole Foods supermarket. Does anyone know the name of the original dealership or what brand of cars were sold here? For more, see this website.

Grossinger Cadillac
Chicago, IL
The Grossinger Cadillac building was constructed in 1911. The Art Deco details were added later. Tower Oldsmobile was located here until around 2002. I don't know what was here originally. There are plans to build an apartment tower above the garage. The ground floor facade will be kept intact with the space to be used for retail shops. Grossinger already has a new location staked out. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

Chicago, IL
This building is probably a former showroom. It is located in the Motor Row district. Does anyone know the history of this building? For more, see this website.

The Leach-Wilson Chevrolet-Buick showroom was built around 1935. Some of the original glass windows on the office has been covered with vinyl siding. Behind the showroom, there is a used car lot with these Chevolet "OK" signs.
