Duke's Bowl
Abbotsford, WI
88 Tavern
Beloit, WI

Duke's Bowl has been here since at least the 1930s. The bowling pin part of the sign is now missing. For more, see this website.

The 88 Tavern is also known as "Kline's Club 88".

Morning Star
Lodge No. 10
Beloit, WI
National Liquor
Mukwonago, WI
One Hour
Martinizing
Milwaukee, WI
Bob's Bait Shop
Milwaukee, WI

I believe the J.J.'s Coffee Pot sign is modern - just made to look old.

Cardinali's Golden Krust Bakery features homemade Italian goodies and bread.

The Morning Star Lodge No. 10 features a nice neon Masonic sign. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

The National Liquor sign is 22' tall and features 382 "chasing" light bulbs. It was built in the 1940s and originally hung over the National Liquor Bar in Milwaukee. When the bar closed in 2006, the sign was restored and moved to Jimmy Wade's Heaven City Restaurant. It was installed behind the restaurant to comply with zoning restrictions. For more, see these websites: 1, 2, 3, and 4.

This old One Hour Martinizing sign is in great shape. One Hour Martinizing is the world's largest dry cleaning company. It was founded in 1949 and has more than 600 locations around the world. I'd love to see more examples of their old signs. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

Bob's Bait Shop is just up the block from the Martinizing sign. The bait shop sign is installed on a huge pole for maximum visibility from the highway. For more, see this website.

Bakalars Sausage Company
La Crosse, WI
Oakdale Motel
Oakdale, WI
Kelly's Liquor Store
Wisconsin Rapids, WI

Bakalars Sausage Company features a fantastic neon sign. This wholesale meat and meat products company has been around since 1935. They moved to this location in 1962 and apparently brought this sign along with them.

The Oakdale Motel is probably from the 1950s. It is a small place competing against the big chains just off the interstate.

Kelly's Liquor Store features a nice old bottle and arrow sign.

Friendship Motor Court
Friendship, WI
Pastika's Sport Shop
Hayward, WI

The Friendship Motor Court sign proves that most old signs look better unrestored.

Pastika's Sport Shop has been around since 1921. For more, see their website.

Rivers Edge Bowl
Janesville, WI
Indianhead Motel
Chippewa Falls, WI
Club Dugout
Dickeyville, WI
The Corkscrew
Hurley, WI

Rivers Edge Bowl opened in 1950 and features this classic giant pin sign. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

The Indianhead Motel sign is still lit at night. For more, see these websites: 1 and 2.

Club Dugout is closed but the sign lingers on.

The Corkscrew, a liquor store, features a 15' tall corkscrew as part of its sign. Unfortunately, the sign was being repaired when I was there and this ladder interfered with the photo.

Northern Advertising
Antigo, WI

Northern Advertising repairs and restores neon signs. The company also sells wholesale and custom neon signs. The owner, Dean Blazek, taught students the art of glass bending through the Northern Wisconsin Neon Workshop from 1978 to 1998. His impressive sign collection surrounds the building. For more, see this website.
